Happy New Year! It feels like it’s been a while since I last filmed a sew-along for a pattern other than my own. Last year, I got so caught up in drafting my own designs that I didn’t quite get around to it, but this year, I’m planning to bring …
I’ve been playing with this Waist Collar idea for a while, and it’s finally ready to share. It’s such a simple little piece, but it changes an outfit instantly — I didn’t expect it to be this fun. You can draft the pattern yourself or grab the PDF if that’s easier. This is actually my very first piece in the Accessory Collection, and I really hope you love it as much as I do. I’m running an intro sale on the new pattern right now, so feel free to take a look! 😊
Another quick tip for today! The best part about the baby hem gathering method is that you don’t need anything special — no fancy tools, no extra gadgets, not even a rolled hem foot. Just your sewing machine and a simple gathering stitch, and suddenly curved hems behave like they were always meant to. No ripples, no wrestling, no frustration. Give it a try, and you’ll wonder why no one told you sooner! 😆
Just a quick tip for today! If curved hems have stressed you out before, this trick is going to help so much. Try it — you’ll want to redo every hem you’ve ever sewn! 😆

But today, I have some extraordinary news to share—I’ve just released my very first pattern, the Hanbok Wrap Dress! Now, many of you might already know that Hanbok is a beautiful Korean traditional garment worn on special occasions. As a Korean sewist living in Canada, I’ve always dreamed of creating a pattern inspired by Hanbok, and now it’s finally here!
I’ve taken inspiration from the elegant neckline, the graceful ties, the timeless sleeves, and the classic silhouette of the Hanbok, infusing it with a modern twist for added comfort and versatility.
In future episodes, I’ll dive deeper into the world of Hanbok and share more about my Hanbok Wrap Dress, but I know you’re eager to start sewing, so I’ll keep this introduction short and sweet.
If you’ve already pre-ordered the pattern, thank you so much for your trust and enthusiasm.
let’s dive into creating your very own Hanbok Wrap Dress! Grab your sewing gear and let’s get started!
